Glacier Computer is shipping out its Ridgeline T100 tablet computer, an 8.4-inch interface to accommodate mobile computing in the warehouse, freight, medical and field service markets.

The Ridgeline T100 was created to run data collection applications including shop floor, cue busting, medical, customer service and freight operations. Using Microsoft's Windows CE operating system, the T100 can also run terminal emulation, HTML and intranet applications.

The computer has a color LCD display with resistive touchscreen technology. The unit provides for wireless communication through integrated 802.11 radio and Bluetooth. It also comes with a sealed IP54 housing, multiple I/O and hot swap battery function.

"This unit sells at a very attractive price point and gives most customers all of the remote functionality their application requires," said John Geary, vice president of sales for Glacier.
