EBE Technologies has introduced a new web-based portal that automatically enters detention claims and invoice submissions.
IDI Lean Logistics takes data from carriers' dispatch and accounting systems and enters it into and from shippers' web portals.

This new software eliminates the process of manual data entry and guarantees that detention claims and invoices will be submitted no later than five days after the occurrence. This system can not only save time, but it can also save carrier revenue, as detention claims are often made after hours when operations personnel are not available to claim the expense, the company says.

If an amount is not supplied by an interval specified by the carrier, IDI triggers escalations and monitors these submissions to provide visibility to the pending revenue loss.

IDI also submits invoices automatically, by comparing the amounts of the invoices in the Lean site with the carrier's accounting system. The system recognizes discrepancies and notifies customer service.

"IDI is an easy-to-implement tool that delivers a rapid return on investment, substantial savings in labor costs, improved accuracy and efficiency and a realistic means of improving cash flow by eliminating revenue leaks associated with unclaimed detentions," said Larry Kerr, president.
