The new "Radial Tire & Disk Wheel Service Manual" from the American Trucking Associations' Technology and Maintenance Council groups 29 up-to-date TMC Recommended Practices together with an array of illustrations for easy-to-use reference.

Some of the issues addressed include rust-streaked wheels and related damage, over-torqued wheel fasteners, hub- versus stud-piloted wheel system misidentification, troubleshooting ride complaints, effects of pressure on tire life and mileage, and tire pressure monitoring and inflation systems.

This is the third of three TMC reference works that examine conditions, provide solutions and lay out the routes to better manage tire and wheel costs, fuel economy, driver complains, and technician training. The other two are the "User's Guide to Wheels and Rims," and "Radial Tire Conditions Analysis Guide."

All three can be ordered at www.atabusinesssolutions.com.
