Jerr-Dan introduced the new HDUL-450D Heavy Duty Fifth Wheel Detachable Underlift.
The underlift is designed for fast and easy recovery of disabled equipment by converting a fleet's tractor into a heavy-duty recovery unit with the same or better lift capacity as most heavy-duty wreckers.

The HDUL-450D features the highest structural capacity at maximum reach, the longest extended boom reach, and the most negative tilt, according to the company. In its 69-inch retracted state, this chassis-mounted, three-stage, independent attachment features a lift rating of 45,000 pounds. Fully extended at 140 inches, it delivers a lift rating of 24,000 pounds.

The attachment is designed for safety and ease ofuse. The independent vertical lift is engineered to tilt entirely on a hinge pin to prevent backward movement while tilting, and the Quick Link Attachment allows for quick hook-up to a fifth wheel tractor. The optional heavy-duty tire lift loads from the inside-out, avoiding curb interference, and its boom wear pads are placed in milled slots to create a lower boom height. All of the unit's functions are available through a wireless non-proportional remote control system.

The underlift features easy-to-replace bushings, pins and rollers. It also uses dual-lift cylinders, a single two-stage tilt cylinder, and a single piggyback-extended cylinder with chrome-plated rods for durability and reliability. Parking stand attachments are included for easy storage when it is not being employed.

Available options include a 20,000-pound, single-speed planetary winch with wireless remote control and a 78-inch-long, 21-inch high by 20-inch-deep universal toolbox with two stainless steel door covers.
